"We had a wonderful time at this luxury desert camp. We went on a camel ride shortly after our arrival. Scary at first, but would do it again in a flash.The ride ended with tea and other refreshments at sunset in the dunes with the camel driver and our host, Mr. Khan. The setting was superb. Supper was a treat: good food and great conversation with the owner of the camp and other guests. The next morning we went on a jeep ride in the desert. Driving through the dunes was exhilarating and the sunrise spectacular. Perhaps the best moment was a later in the morning when I took a solitary walk through the dunes beside the camp. I was never far from the camp but the silence and the scenery were awesome."

"If you want luxury camping on the desert, Grand Khalifa Camp is the place to go. We got to enjoy a delicious special desert dinner (ker sangri, dahl bati churma and other local specialties) by a fire, under the stars, on a dune. After that we spent the night watching the stars from our patio and listened to the quiet and sounds of nature. The tents were well equipped. They had a bed, seating area, electricity, a kettle and a fully equipped bathroom with both an inside shower and a private outside shower that had a direct entrance from our tent. The staff was very attentive and professional. As Finns we appreciated how they were on time with our requests for early dinner and breakfast. I wish we had more than one night to stay here!"
